Tim Walsh

Tim Walsh, Director

Tim has a PhD in Computer Science, a Computer Engineering degree and a Diploma in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin. Tim lectured computer science in the University of Strathclyde between 2000 and 2003. From 2005 to 2009 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Trinity College with Prof. Bill Harrison on programming language design.

John Ryan

John Ryan, Director

John has a degree in Engineering & Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin and a Grad. Dip. in Information Technology from DCU. John has 9 years of commercial IT experience in multinational, telecoms and pharmaceutical organisations (Labyrinth Solutions, BT & Elan Corporation). During this time John has managed and implemented large-scale, web-based applications ranging from large corporate intranets to HR and Financial systems.

Stuart Lawlor

Stuart Lawlor, Rehabilitation Centre Manager, National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI)

Stuart has been manager of NCBI's rehabilitation training centre since August 2008 and is NCBI's technology advisor. The centre's highly trained staff and tutors work with trainees on activities as diverse as computer literacy, daily living skills, literacy, numeracy, communications, Braille and mobility.

Trevor Dagg

Trevor Dagg, Director eBusiness, Elan Corporation

Trevor has worked as Director of eBusiness at Elan Corporation, plc for the last 9 years and brings a broad range of expertise and experience in strategic visioning, project and operational management, designing, delivering and supporting complex solutions across different continents. Prior to working with Elan, Trevor was Sales Manager for Ireland's leading web development and design agency Labyrinth which was acquired by Esat in 2001.

Bill Harrison

Bill Harrison, Professor in Computer Science, Trinity College Dublin

After graduating in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bill went to IBM's world renowned Thomas J Watson Research Center in New York. There he remained at the forefront of software development for over 35 years. In 2005 he moved to Ireland to lead the Software Structures Group under an SFI funded program designed to attract internationally recognised leaders in technology.

Jean-Marc Soustre

Jean-Marc Soustre, Non-Executive Director at the National Digital Research Centre | Consultant

Jean-Marc is a recognized leader within the media/broadcast industry and most recently held the position of Director of Network & Services at the European Broadcasting Union/Eurovision, heading up the largest worldwide network of the broadcast industry. Since mid-2009, Jean-Marc has been a member of the Board of Directors of the National Digital Research Centre (NDRC). He has a proven track record in successfully formulating clear strategies and objectives and translating them into realistic initiatives, go-to-market propositions or platforms to drive media development forward.
