LaunchPad 2010
Point the Way successfully pitched to be a member of LaunchPad, an accelerator programme for start-ups, modeled in part on the globally renowned Y-Combinator initiative in Silicon Valley. LaunchPad was run by the National Digital Research Centre (NDRC).
Point the Way wins LaunchPad investment prize
In April 2010, Point the Way won one of two investment prizes in the inaugural LaunchPad event. Point the Way competed against 9 other start-ups to capture the award. The event was judged by a panel of successful entrepreneurs which included:
- Dylan Collins, founder and CEO of Demonware
- Eamonn Fallon, founder and CEO of Daft.ie
- RTE 1 Dragon's Den entrepreneur Bobby Kerr (represented by his brother Paul Kerr)
- Jonathan Siegel, founder and CEO of Rightcart
